Welcome, friends & family
Thank you for visiting OneWorld History and helping us test this soft launch. You’re among the first people we’re trusting with it.
We’re building a free worldwide resource for human history—one globe, one timeline—so anyone can explore a carefully sourced account of what happened, written for kids and adults, and aimed at every language we can reach. The point is shared common knowledge again: a floor of truth we can stand on together, not a finished ceiling. This beta will only get better with your eyes on it.
This week’s featured tour is World War I, ahead of Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the United States. You’ll find guided tours with premium narration, maps of changing borders and military actions, data exploration, arsenals, and more as the catalog grows. Take a look if you’d like a taste of the more advanced features we’re building towards—and please remember this is just the beginning.

Some tours include AI reconstruction images where no photograph or period artwork exists. They’re AI-assisted, clearly labelled, and never presented as photographs. See an example on the Loyalists and the War of 1812 slide—click the image to enlarge it, then hit More info to learn how and why we use them.
If you can support the mission, PayPal links are at the bottom of the left window—any help is greatly appreciated.
Please play around with it and try to break it. Report anything you find, either at the bottom of the right panels that come up using the “Report Issue” button, or by emailing: [email protected].
Lastly, I ask that you please refrain from sharing site online/ through social media. Today's launch is a private beta test for friends and family only. If all goes well, we'll release the public beta test next week with better payment options and more features.
I hope you enjoy the site.
Sincerely,
Jon Roberts
